What Exactly is Foam Rolling?
At Movement Solutions Physiotherapy our focus is on providing our clients with individualized care. We use hands on techniques and exercise to help alleviate pain and improve mobility. We sometimes also teach our clients self myofascial release (SMR) techniques to help address areas that need some extra attention or more regular intervention. A tennis ball or foam roller can be very helpful. Your therapist will assess your muscles and tissues to determine if and where you should perform SMR and they will show you how to perform the techniques. Take a look at this link.
